Camp is almost here but the fun won't stop there!
Camp is only two
more sleeps away! I hope everyone is as excited as I am. The forcast looks good
and I am told the Millenium Track is in great condition.
I have placed some
useful information on the ‘Camp’ tab of this blog. Please check it out as it
has some reminders and gives you a peak at the menu!
On a completely different note next week (Wednesday 20th
March) we will be visiting Toitū Otago Settlers Museum. This
visit will relate to our inquiry topic of Identity. It is an exciting
opportunity to visit the newly revamped Museum. As always we need parent
support for these events to go ahead. If you are able to come along and help
please let me know. I have attached the notice to this post and students will
bring a hard copy home tomorrow. Please feel free to email me (rcooke@balmacewen.school.nz) if you can help.

CAMP UPDATE
Dear Parents/Caregivers
Thank you to everyone who has offered to help out with Year 7 camp. We are still looking for more helpers (especially on Thursday and Friday where we are a few parents short). As part of our safety briefing for camp it is a health and safety requirement that those helping attend a pre-camp meeting to discuss safety aspects of the camp, meet with the other parents who are attending and find out about your role at camp. The meeting will be held in Room 10 on Wednesday 6th March at 5:30pm for 30 minutes. We all look forward to a fun and challenging Year 7 camp and thank you in advance for your support.
Please email me if you have indicated you couldn't help but now can help.
rcooke@balmacewen.school.nz
Kind regards,
Rowan Cooke.
p.s. Check out the Camp tab for a gear list and other information.

World famous at Balmacewen... Stopball
A few pics from our first game of stopball against our camp buddy class Room 10. Unfortunately we got taught!
Let the class photos begin...
Finally all photo permission slips have been returned. Now the smiling faces of Room 13 can appear clearly on this mighty blog.
